become the leader christ calls you to be: apply to become a
lumen Gentium Fellow
Application form for 2025-2026 fellowship cohort
We are now recruiting for our next cohort of Lumen Gentium Fellows, who will meet from September 2025 to May 2026. Will you be one of them? Learn more about the program requirements below, and if you want to join us, simply fill out and submit the application form and additional documents.
Who are we looking for? We are looking for Catholic lay professionals in any industry between the ages of 25 and 40, who want to fully live their calling to be a “light to the nations”: becoming a magnanimous and virtuous leader who exemplifies Christ’s love and mission in their workplace, career, and civil society. Applicants are interested in an in-depth exploration of Catholic social teaching and its application to their vocation. Potential Lumen Gentium Fellows demonstrate a commitment to practising and growing in their Catholic faith, and exhibit a deep desire to live out a personal mission: they recognize they have a calling from God that is unique to them. Simultaneously, applicants understand themselves as part of a Catholic community–the Church–and feel they must dedicate themselves and their work to the wider people of God, and to Canadian society as a whole. Lumen Gentium Fellows must be able to commit to completing the monthly readings and to attending a monthly gathering where they will hear guest speakers, enjoy supper and fellowship, and participate in conversations about what they are learning and the challenges facing society and the Church today.
Application process and timeline: Applications to the program will be reviewed as they are received, and short interviews with candidates of interest will be scheduled after their application is reviewed. Successful candidates will receive offers of acceptance by the end of July.
Fellow requirements: To be accepted into the program, Fellows must commit to the following.
Participation in every monthly gathering of the Fellows, barring exceptional personal circumstances (Meeting dates will be shared with candidates at the interview stage; meetings will take place monthly on a weekday evening in Toronto from September 2025 to May 2026, and will be scheduled in advance before the program begins)
Completing the monthly readings before each monthly meeting (each monthly reading package will have approximately 60-80 pages of readings)
